Our neighborhood has finally been blessed with a coffee house. It’s almost as exciting as when Aunt Bee opened up the Chinese Restaurant in Mayberry. My neighborhood is sort of like that, nestled in the middle of two very busy parts of the city (The University and Downtown), which I think caused us to be undersubscribed in this area. Yes, even in Seattle, there are sometimes not enough places to get coffee.
They have taken all of my needs into account - electrical outlets in the floor next to every table, hardwood floors, free Wi-Fi. It’s like hanging out at Pottery Barn except that you don’t have to buy any scented candles and you can listen to iTunes radio.
Now when people come for a visit, we’ll have some place to hang out and be grungy
Without getting political on this blog (which is not its purpose), I just want to highlight the coolness of Eleanor Clift, on The McLaughlin Group.
She does a nice job of holding her own, and she’s super smart and fun to watch. I’d put her up on that pedestal with Carolyn Kepcher.
Oh, and if you don’t have the McLaughlin Gruop Tivo’d, you should (here’s the link to add it to your Tivo online scheduling).
