I’m a little surprised that the accounts of Apple announcements from 9/12 are so positive. At the same time, I’m not surprised at some of the commentary on the Microsoft Zune (see:Michael Gartenberg - Today’s Zune News - First Take).
On the Apple announcements, I think there was a pretty big expectation of coolness. I mean, I was expecting to buy something new, but there was nothing new to buy. No new vPod. No new laptops. And the iTV is not out yet. I know it’s not about me, however, it would have been cool to have bluetooth headphones or some new wireless standard. Yes, yes, iTunes 7 is very cool, but I want hardware, I want to buy something.
As far as the Zune, well, I’m not ditching my iPod anytime soon.
That’s all.
