AOL Music, now available to non-AOL subscribers. As long as you use a PC. Ouch. iTunes wins, again. And that’s perfectly fine with me.
It’s still summer and gorgeous. Went up in the space needle this morning. Because i could.
Sad. The hype is over. I went to visit my friend Brett at Suncoast Video when I saw this. It wasn’t quite the Brokeback moment I had with Tom in Ptown (we almost started crying in the HRC store when they showed the clips).
Oh well, there will be another movie like this that will make people think. I hope!

Ok, I seem to have missed this event by about 10 days, but better late than never. Paris Hilton’s long awaited album (like over a year) has finally been released. It includes a song, Screwed, that I first heard on satellite radio over a year ago, and have been anticipating since then. Unfortunately, this album version is a bit watered down compared to what was played on XM for a short time.
Now here’s the thing. The reviewers on iTunes are skewering Paris, but they’re wrong. Seriously. Just as “Best Week Ever” discovered a few months ago, the sad (or happy) truth is that this album is actually good. Well, I wouldn’t go so far as to say that the album is “good.” However, it has a ton of potential in terms of dance mixes. We’re already hearing those, and they’re really good. I can’t wait to hear the others that are coming.
This is definitely a case of “first the gays, then the girls (er women)” in terms of marketing, to quote Samantha from Sex and the City. We want Paris. The gays have it right this time. And every time, actually.

I get reminded periodically of how gorgeous my neighborhood is. Like in this image. It’s taken from the Montlake Bridge, overlooking the “cut,” which is an artificial canal dug way back when to connect Lake Union and Lake Washington. The only bummer about this beauty is that this is a drawbridge, so whenever someone with a lot of money decides they want to steer their sailboat through, a whole lotta traffic comes to a standstill.
As with everything in Seattle, there’s a lot of controversy over what to do about this, but not a lot of action to do anything (did I say that?). There’s an innovative proposal on the books called Better Bridge. Us! Having a Golden-Gate style suspension bridge! Check it out.

The title says it all. Check out “Till the Wheels Fall Off.” See, summer isn’t over yet.
Through the magic of Apple’s Bonjour (formerly Rendezvous), you can actually dial up your Tivo’s “now playing” list on a Safari Web browser. Here’s a link to the tip that gives instructions how.
To think it’s been lurking there the entire time. Is there no end to the fun that one can have with computers?

So, I have been eyeing these NikeFree shoes, which are allegedly like walking barefoot. And we all know that that’s the best way to run. Barefoot. Right? But I digress. I want to get the shoes, but the only ones available physically have white soles. White soles. Those can’t be fashionable. Here’s what I came up with so far. There are just too many choices on the NikeID Web site. Feel free to click here to produce a better design for me. I know you can. You can have the site e-mail me your design to designmyshoe@just-ted.com. Click here to play with the design on the NikeID Web site.
Have fun. Thanks for your help.

I think I can say that this is the new show to watch, so I will. The new “D-List.” The new “What to watch while waiting for the Apprentice to come back.” I was referred to this show by my friend Jason, and Daniel confirmed that was worth a look. And it was! The thing that sort of clinched it in the first few minutes was the presence of the candy striper from one of the most memorable Will and Grace episodes. She even borrows from that character.
The one I saw involved a client who was psychic and had a sort of psychic Tourettes, where she keeps blurting out what the person she is talking to is thinking. It was sort of hilarious. The length of the show is also perfect. Just 30 minutes. I’ve season passed it, you should to. And now you can, by clicking the link below!

Ok, I tried this and it didn’t work. It said my cell phone wasn’t online or something. This is more fascinating than mission critical. I don’t really use iChat all that much. I don’t really get IM, the whole synchronous communication thing. If anyone out there can try this on their call phone let me know if it works. One bummer of my Samsung SGH-D807 is that it doesn’t integrate with Apple Address Book, which allows for sending SMS’s directly from your computer. That’s a super cool feature, when it works.

Finally convinced another one to start blogging. Welcome David! And I don’t know what you’re talking about with this “Purr Now” nonsense. I only message you that once per day. See you soon!
