I just hate these complicated decisions. Extend monthly Tivo service to lifetime or not. The correct decision is to buy a time machine, go back a year and a half, and buy the lifetime subscription then.
There is supposedly a Series 3 coming out, so getting a lifetime subscription now means sticking with the current box for a few more years.
What happens when Apple rolls out its DVR?

What a cool app. It uses the infrared plus motion sensing capabilities of the MacBook Pro to sound an alarm if the machine is tampered with.
I could probably do without the car alarm noises. Make it smart, make it scary - have it take a picture of the bad gal/guy and let them know that the gig is up. It would be cool to have a kind of poison pilll, too, that would lock out the session and destroy data after 24 hours if it is not unlocked.
