The Internet and Wall Street is a buzz with the newfound ability of Intel-based Apple machines to boot into Windows XP. It looks like as currently structured, you can’t alter Windows files while booted into Mac and can’t read Mac files while booted into Windows (if you choose NTFS vs FAT32).
Could this really change the game and hurt Microsoft/Dell/cloneware?
Thing is for me, I’d love the capability, but never use it. Maybe others would also buy a Mac box for the security but stay booted into Mac OS X. I suppose this is just fine for Microsoft - they get the cash for the Windows operating system, plus the cash for whatever Office product chosen - Mac Office or Windows Office, both fine programs (although Mac Office is far, far better…:))
