Lo and behold, it’s now illegal to smoke in bus shelters in Washington State, subject to a $100 fine. Is this a great time to be alive and cancer free, or what?

Yes, this is the book that has Brokeback mountain in it. I had previously read Bad Dirt : Wyoming Stories 2 after the movie came out. That was the book after the one that contained Brokeback Mountain. That one was captivating. So is this one.
The stories have a touch of humor in them but also an ongoing, steady tragedy that folks in rural Wyoming face. These are the kinds of tragedies and lives we’ll mostly never see; they are not a big deal, just a part of life. It casts an interesting light on “Brokeback” - which is even more a masterpiece in context of these.
