I had another one of my “angel of good will” experiences, when I went to work out at the fancy gym downtown that cost a lot of money (not just in Canadian, but US $ also), the woman at the desk asked me to pay my fee on the way out since she was busy with another client. No problem.

When I came back to the desk after my workout, the same woman was on her way out. I said, “I am here to pay my guest fee.” She said, “Thank you for being honest” and reached into her drawer and pulled out a card and gave it to me. “Next one is on us.” She then refused to accept payment for the day’s session. It was like a little good will spread her way paid itself back manyfold. A nice reminder that a little honey attracts all of the free gym workouts…

More upgrades

I am putting together the photo sharing part of this blog. I envision these gray bars between each post with the most recent photos interspersed with a couple of random ones. I think it’s the best look, don’t you?

Now I have to make this thing slurp up my old photos and display them for me….

It’s finally happened. She made it. I picked my favorite album for the link, and that is “Like a Prayer.” “Music” on the other hand is a close second. We’re glad you made it, Maddy.

Okay, so I am not actually reading THIS book. I am reading “Applescript, the Missing Manual.”

Amazon.com doesn’t carry this book, the Seattle Public Library does. Which adds further to my theory that “The Public Library is the new Amazon.com.” You order your book on line, they bring it nearly to your door, and you don’t pay anything for it. Is this a great country or what?

As far as the Applescript goes, I have tried to learn this about 3 times now. I think I may get it this time. This book does a nice job of exposing its quirkiness - and it IS quirky. But very powerful.
