Over at Daniel Brown’s TV Blog, the discussion is about Grey’s Anatomy.

I have a small bit of interest in this topic for the reason that I partially lived it….and I live in Seattle.

First of all, Patrick Dempsey

In response to my readers, I have now made it possible for comments to get posted without individual review by me.

The only hurdle now is that users have to preview comments first, and then post them.

This is a little bit of a test to make sure that a human being is behind the commenting and involves the generation of a hash code.

There a few things I have noticed with this code - first, the error that users get when they try and post without previewing (only in the case where they change some of their information in a preview and then try to post) is not really accurate.

The second is that it is quasi-compatible with TypeKey, at least from my testing. Ideally, a person with a Type-key identity who has signed in should not be challenged to do a preview - they should be “fast tracked.” In this case, it doesn’t appear that they get any special treatment, so this scheme makes TypeKey less useful.

I am cautiously optimistic that this will work, so let’s see what happens! If it doesn’t work, I’ll just go back to TypeKey, which seems tailor made for this purpose.

ApprenticeOver there on Daniel Brown’s TV Blog: The Office, people are saying that The Apprentice has gotten boring, that you read a magazine while watching it on Tivo. How can it be?

Will Carolyn ever get her own show? Would she and Rachel Ray be willing to come over and cook a 30-minute-meal with me?

19146442I finally called the City of Seattle recycling program to find out if I could just toss magazines that I get that are wrapped in plastic into the recycling bin. They said, no, because plastic is garbage. I know I’m complaining about something sort of minor, but I get a lot of these and since it is now illegal to put recyclables in the trash, this is really annoying. I realize now that the throwaway journal peddlers do this on purpose so we’ll have to touch what’s inside. arrgh.

Sony just can’t seem to get it right. It used to be cool to buy a Sony product - remember those days?

homeOk, what on Earth is Rachel Ray doing in these provocative photos? It seemed just 6 months ago you couldn’t read anything about her on online. Now she’s sporting a bare midriff and unbaked pies?
