More challenges to HRC about the way it supports the community.
The New Gay: F*** HRC (Part II)
The amazing thing is the reaction of Dana, at around 4:43. It blows everything else away.

From the LGBT@NYPL Collection, now online. A good reminder of where we came from, and how much more we have to do.
Michael and I saw a lovely performance art show at DC9 last night called CrackDC (that’s the name of the show, not a drug induced state). Summer Camp was the perfect host-ess. It was both hilarious and a nice demonstration of the great energy that DC has for having fun. When I looked at the pictures that Michael sent me, I realized that some of them are a bit too racy even for this blog. You can always go go the CrackDC Website to see more. The other photos in this post are from the beautiful Sunday in the neighborhood. Willard Street is just too lovable for words. It was one of those days where you felt lucky to be alive.

I just finished watching E! True Hollywood Story about Rachel Ray, and I just have to say I think she is a great woman and a great role model. I think I am one of the first people in the blogosphere to actually post something about Rachel Ray (take a look here), starting back in 2004, and I’ve liked her ever since. Why? Because she works hard, she’s an optimist, and she’s just Rachel. And because of her I learned how to use a grill pan.
What sealed the deal for me in the E! show was that the best they could do to find anything wrong with her was interview the operator of the Rachel Ray Sucks web site and make a few references to tabloids. That’s it. Keep smiling Rachel!
The second woman is Janice Dickinson. In my mind her show is definitely the new Apprentice for me, and I say that as I compliment. I am very impressed at the range of subjects she’s tackling, from eating disorders, to substance abuse, to sexuality, to family issues. Some of the scenes are pretty moving. She doesn’t handle everything perfectly, but she definitely cares about helping people be their best in their careers and their lives, and she’s working to create a diverse workplace, in what is a pretty brutal industry. Lenses off to Janice. Tivo Season Pass for sure. (click here to get it)
DCist: Virginia May Ban Bumper Nuts
This is so interesting to me. Truck testes are considered unacceptable by policy makers, but mudflap women seem to be okay.
Michael and I learned about this last evening. Why aren’t there cupcake wars in Washington, DC?
