While we’re waiting for me to compile all of the photos and movies from the Atlantis Navigator cruise (check here in about a week), I am starting the “cruise etiquette” discussion.

This is a list of tips from me and the rest of you on things that you can do to make everyone’s cruise enjoyable. Not just your cruise, but everyone’s cruise. We’re all in this together.

Please add your ideas as comments. Keep it sort of clean, also. Nothing illegal. Immoral is okay depending on the culture you use as a reference point.

My first

  1. “Cruise cards” - those business cards you print that have your contact info and cabin on them. Do prepare them. Do include your picture on them (I am not following my own advice, I know). Do include your cabin number. Don’t hand them out indiscriminately to everyone you meet right off the bat. Get to know someone, then offer him your card to keep in touch after.

Ok, your turn!

“Pictures”
You should try and get contact information from people when you take their picture so you can send them the photo– it’s a great way to get to know them later. You should also never take a ‘revealing’ photo of someone without their knowing.

“Pictures Part 2″

Close ups, close ups, close ups and for heaven sake IMMEDIATELY delete anything that doesn’t make the subject look fabulous.

“Cruising”

You know what I mean.

Look twice….smile
Look three times…shake it
Look again later that day….big kiss.
Look again another day…at least introduce him to your partner.

Santa Cruz, LA, San Fran and Seattle. Pour me a man. We all have alot to learn from the other side of the map. Please come to Boston for the Spring time.

“Cruise Boyfriends”

Hello, like didn’t we all see Titanic? Sure have fun, but honey the lifeboats hold 90, so if you lower one for just 2, what about the rest of us?

Ted - 17 Feb - 6:26 pm,

Photo sharing -

Get firm commitments to share photos before the cruise is over. Sharing means you get what you give.

Learn how to screen scrape, for all those photo sharing sites that don’t let you download images. :)

Les - 27 Feb - 7:20 am,

For heaven’s sake try to be friendly to everybody. I know there are a lot of muscleboys with attitude, but everyone can learn from somebody older, somebody paunchier, somebody darker or lighter…who knows that person may not be your latest trick…yet, they may be the best friend you ever had…look beyond the looks

Ted - 27 Feb - 7:59 am,

Amen, bro.
