As I was searching around for a tool to help me diagram value streams, I came across this review for the software program Omnigraffle: Brad DeLong’s Semi-Daily Journal: Program of the Week: OmniGraffle.
One of the commenters asked what the difference between Omnigraffle and Visio is. Well, I suppose it’s like the difference between Apple Keynote and Powerpoint. One looks, well gorgeous. The other looks like a 1992 era computer created it. Guess which one is which?
Omnigraffle takes such great advantage of Apple display technologies that almost anything I have produced with it really wows people including me. I know I probably only use about 25% of its capabilities.
I would love to see more templates available for it, even for purchase. Maybe there are some available for purchase so feel free to let me know.
Like the value stream diagrammer that I am looking for right now! I suppose I will have to create one from scratch. It’s a LEAN business process thing…..
Any luck on an OmniGraffle stencil for lean value stream mapping?
None. Looks like necessity will be the mother of invention. Who wants to create a set with me?
