My friend Michael is trying to get me into Flickr. Not sure about this. I’m using this post to play around with Wordpress integration. I’m not a huge fan of my pictures being hosted in the cloud, and I kind of like the lightbox effect. I have been able to set that up for a photo posted on Flickr. See for yourself by clicking on the photo below.

Matt - 16 Jan - 2:58 pm,

I have been so forgiving of Flickr. I keep thinking there must be something good about it, but I have yet to figure out what it is.

If you don’t mind paying a nominal fee, smugmug is so much better, and you link to your photos there and it’s easy for your friends to download the original or order prints.

If you don’t want to pay, I think picassaweb by google is way better than Flickr and also can host blog photos.

However if I have missed what’s so great about Flikr, please fill me in. But as far as I’ve seen Flickr is the Friendster of photos.
